Return Policy

30-Day Return Period

The Ocean Floor will accept returns or exchanges 30 days from the original purchase date. The merchandise must be unused and in its original package and condition. The following policies apply to all returns.

Aquarium and Cabinet Return Policy

Aquariums and cabinets can be returned 30 days from the original date if they have not been used, the original receipt must be provided and a 15% restocking fee will be applied. Aquariums and cabinets that have been used can not be returned.

Return Fee

Unless defective, a restocking fee of 15% will be charged on any return totaling $100 or more. Special orders can not be returned or exchanged for any reason.

Missing Item or Damaged Product Fee

Products that are missing, not in original box or damaged are not returnable.

Return and Exchange Requirements

Your original receipt is required for all returns and exchanges, no exceptions. All returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of original purchase. For cash purchases over $50, your refund will be issued by check from our corporate office within 14 business days of the return.

10-Day Freshwater Fish Warranty

Freshwater fish under $10 are guaranteed for 10 days from the purchase date. The original receipt, the fish, and a separate sample of water from the aquarium are required with all fish returns.

Half Price Saltwater Fish Warranty

Saltwater fish be replaced at half price within 2 days of the purchase date. The original receipt, the fish, and a separate sample of water from the aquarium must be provided to receive the discount. Any fish warranty is based on a good water sample; poor water quality voids the warranty.

Fish Compatibility

The Ocean Floor does not guarantee fish compatibility of fresh or saltwater fish. Due to the unpredictable nature of aquarium fish we can only give our customers recommendations. It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm the compatibility of new fish and the environment they are placed in.

Pricing Error Policy

If the price on the product or shelf does not match the scanned price in the register, the price of the product will be determined by using the retail price book.

The Ocean Floor reserves the right to deny any return.
